BTW, they also said they may get an X in June, but they aren't certain yet.

I also looked at the NC700 and was shocked that I actually liked it as well. Is Honda really building affordable bikes that I like... or am I tripping?
The 700x is a awsome bike.I went to the IMS looking to get a 500x,but liked the 700 better.3 months later I traded in my DL1000 on a 700x.Now it's ready for Deadhorse!!.

sorry guys, i really wanted the 500 but this seems to fit my needs better plus the 0% for 5 years financing was way too good to pass up on. good luck to all that get theres and hope it works well for you. ;) i REALLY REALLY wanted to have a honda in my stable, but i guess i'm a two-suzuki bike house.

It's probably a "better choice" for a lot of people anyways.

Not bashing the Honda, but you really need to want that exact set of
features it offers, and then you can't have anything other then that, but
as it is, most people would prefer the V.

It's even "worse" with the NC700 series, but if you like it, you're screwed,
you'll have to get one.

Fragile, congrats on the new ride. I can't tell what model it is just by the picture. Enlighten me. Is it brand new, or new to you? I'll bet it didn't come with all of those extras? What have you added and are you satisfied with the results?

Bike Magazine finally has a first ride article on the CBR & CBF 500's. It's not in-depth but they generally like the dynamics of the 500s and the value they represent for 47 hp license bikes . Fit and finish is superb.

No excuses needed for anyone choosing the Wee over the Hondas. If the incentives work out that the Suzuki is cost competitive, it is almost a no brainer - it has a more motor, it is a better off-pavement bike with the 19" front end, and its physically larger size suits bigger riders.

But at list price, the Hondas are a lot cheaper.

Wow, only $10 more per month. Your dealer must have been realy milking the price on the honda, or you got the wee for around $8,200 out the door with taxes and plates, that would make your payment about $136 with 0% interest. My out the door price for the cb500x with tax and plate is going to be $6811, and if I got honda to go 3.99% for five years the payment would be $125 a month. Of course I'm going to put some sweet panniers on it (same size on both sides) and larger windshield, so that will put me near $8000 invested.

P.S. It is a very sharp bike, I went and checked a new one out just like yours (twice at the dealer, and once at a show) and I really wanted to like it, but it just wasn't a good fit for me. What a shame, since it was frarkled pretty much like I wanted.

I like this guys review on youtube of the cb500f, but it's long. The highlight of his review comes at about the 15:45 mark

I liked that review a lot, especially because that guy's regular bike is an NC700X. Very interesting comparison between the two.

It looks like they finally have the prices on the X model (this may have been posted already). $5999 and $6499 for ABS (same as R). That's pretty tempting...

The CB500X ABS is exactly the same list price as a KLR (which doesn't even offer ABS). And that makes it the biggest motorcycle bargain in a long, long time.
