I got my brother's extra gas tanks, from 'The Shop.' They been up, straddling the top, main, roofline/wall 2x12. Not heated.
Do I keep them for posterity?[We had an absolute pisser, thruout 72-80 [dirtrack, enduro, sidehack enduro.] The 2 OSSA tanks, especially.
[Actually, unless it's a good chunk o' change; I may keep the org/blue OSSA Phantom tank...]
My brother was kinda in on John Taylor's establishment of his 'Yankee Motor Corp.' Taylor, IIRC, started importing ossas, after the exposure of 'em, thru Barry Higgins, riding for Ghost Motorcycles, [dealer somewhere downstate, like Middletown?]
[This should be cross-posted to DB History 101, but...]
So he got a ossa phantom, set-up for dirt-track.
Lots of fun, lots of years.
Bothof the other two tanks, an ossa 'sdr' [based on the Stilletto,] (believe it, our not: from the ISDT bike, Dalton, MA, in 1973.)
More fall-out from his tenure @ Dave Leather Suzuki, literally just next door, in Schenectady.. .
