problem is that I'd need to book further in advance. if it doesn't seem I can count on good weather, I'm gonna head to San Juan PR

I live in San Diego, lived here all my life.

It has been a dry year, in general, down here. But rain in southern Cali is not like rain in Chicago. A hard rain(not likely to happen) here is like a light showers out east. And it only lasts for 5 minutes. Then its just cloudy for the rest of the day. We here, are a desert. Nothing is going to change that. The rain here has never stopped me from riding on the street and especially on the dirt. Weather will 90% favorable regardless of rain.

Hope this gives you an idea. Have a great time with the Mrs wherever yall head too.

I lived in Phoenix for 25 years. You can count on good weather there and none of the gated/chained/locked dirt roads we have in southern California.
