After a long days ride, we treated ourselves to a night in a cabin. We got some clothes un dusted, and treated ourselves to a good, well, OK meal at the Crooked Creek resort.

We got up to a brisk morning down in the canyon and hurried to get packed up even though it was gonna be a short day. It was great how well all the group was on the same clock. Up early, coffee and oatmeal, pack and ride. It became a game not to be 'that guy' everybody was waiting on.

Sun coming up in Echo Park

This little cabin was on the road out. Looking at the inside it was easy to imagine pioneers living in it in times past. Not much bigger than my tent.

I didn't take any pics from the downhill Kevin spoke of. It went on FOREVER. Down and down. Seemed freshly bladed and very loose. Here's a shot from Google Earth to give an idea. Blue Mountain Rd.

My favorite part from day 2 was Brown's Park Road from Diamond to just before the suspension bridge. It kept getting smaller and smaller and the canyon higher but the pics I took just don't do it justice.

Flaming Gorge Bridge

Red Canyon Lodge was a good place to spend the night and do some laundry after a couple hot days. The food was OK but that carrot was made out of silly putty. No matter what I couldn't cut it.

Let me see if I can add anything to day 2.. Like John, I thought the ride through Brown's Park Road was the best. It was nice and twisty with shear rock walls coming at you on every turn.
Canyon Shot..

Ready to roll..

Story of the Petroglyphs..

Riding out of the canyon. (I think there is a picture of me taking this picture..

From above.

The area by the bridge..

Token bike shot on the bridge.. I love the XC.

Ok, here is a actual "hot chick" photo.. When I was out on the bridge taking pics of the bike, I noticed swimmers off to the side.. Felt like a poparazii getting a pic of some future queen..

Herd of antelope by the road. We didn't see any elk, but we did see something like 157,986 elk hunters..

And finally, stats for the day..

I've got a pic of the huge downhill, but it's on my iPhone. I'll get it posted later. As far as that big downhill was concerned. I had gone back and forth many times on taking the big GS Adventure on this trip. I wanted to ride out vs trailer the 650 out. The big down hill would have been a killer for me on the big bike, and I I'd be kicking myself, if I'd have had to bypass it..

Ok, the big downhill is behind the bike.
I'm not sure if you can see it in the pic. It seemed really steep and long when we came down it!

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
