The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

I asked about you down with the N.C. bunch at the end of lot C Friday night. Sat in the pines on the back straight Saturday afternoon, and in the pits Saturday night. Museum Sunday morning.

I was on the DR650 too.

Thumb old is cool

My wife and I went for our third straight year, already making plans for next year.

We stayed with friends in Leeds, and hung-out with the Do The Ton crew at Ace Corner.
I think everyone should wear name-tags with screen names next year. I did get to meet RTWDoug and buy some parts.

brother and I camped in volunteer area. Had a blast helping out but I got eaten alive w chiggers and some redneck had his generator on all night. Better time than mid-ohio but more sober.

Thank you, thank you. I'm vicariously getting the photos that I let slip by. Wonderful event! I ran into a couple of ADVers I knew, saw a couple of rider standing by ADV-stickered bikes but was moving in traffic so I couldn't stop. Never made it by Lot C, maybe next year. STILL didn't get by the Barber Museum during the festival, so I'll "plan to go by some time during the week since I'm local" yadda yadda. Maybe soon. Or Next year...

Parts? I did find a 6-1/2 gallon BMW /6 tank in Monza Blue in decent shape at an affordable price. My Toaster tanks is stylish, but a couple of extra gallons of fule will be handy on trips. And I've wanted to get a "Big R90 Tank" forever. So there.

Barber's

We enjoyed another fine weekend at Barbers! We camped with the International Norton Owners Association at the Trackside Camping area at Tram Pickup 3. This spot on the track has to be one of the best to set up and have some serious fun. We visited the museum for the first time in 3 years and enjoyed all the new motorcycle displays and the expanded Lotus collection. We wandered around the Swap Meet and sorted through an assortment of things we didn't need. The Fan Appreciation and vendor area gets better each year. Our Norton Club had a fine lunch spread for members and displayed some beautiful Nortons. The racing program is fantastic and we enjoyed seeing our local Asheville racers Ivan Messina and Jake and Rob Hall compete with great success. We cooked up some fine meals every night and fed the Norton Club and racers. This is a must do event for any serious motorcycle enthusiast!

Just returned from my first visit to Barber. Stayed at Hyatt Place since my current idea of roughing it means staying in a hotel without HBO or Showtime. First two days were spent marching through the museum from 10:00AM until they asked me to leave at 5:00PM. A day at the swap meet, vendors area, Ace Cafe, Colorado Norton Works (stunning 30k+ Nortons). A couple of days of Vintage Racing followed. The most fun at the finest facility I've been to in 45 years of motorcycle events. Highly recommended to everybody.
