I thought he did most of his work with a model 70. I did read the book on him....there is another book (I think) called 13 cent killers....pertty good book on snipers of that same time.

It's an ultimak, there is another type out there, but I have been very pleased with this one, it's very easy to swap out, I only wish I could have found an adjustable powered scope

Sorry for all the questions but I figured that you all seem to know some stuff...
What do y'all think about a Stag Model 2? How much are they worth, and how good quality are they? The LGS has one on the way, (as well as a Bushmaster Carbon, which I handled a month ago and didnt like the feel of) so I'm thinking about plunking down a deposit, but not sure of the price or if they're good guns. Advice, thoughts, opinions? I hope this is the right use of this thread too, by the way... |

I haven't shot the Stag, but hear good things about them.
The barrel is the key as far as accuracy goes. In the last 10 year rush there were some pretty crappy barrel makers cranking out 24-7 ![]() Luckily if the barrel is not up to your standards they are easily replaced. Gary Quote:

Lifetime warranty, properly staked, made by a Colt subcontractor. I love mine. Heres a recent pic (also see post #1) ![]() Thats a Troy TRX extreme rail, 15" on a Stag model 2 with Magpul everything, & a cabelas 3-12X 40 caliber specific scope. I have that rail system for another build and just had to test it out.

Normally not a fan of mixing black and OD, but yours is a really good mix. Thanks for sharing!

Ok, the Stag was gone, but I called as I was on my way toward Cabela's, and now I have . . . a DPMS .308 with a Burris AR-332 sight.
![]() There was absolutely NO .308 or 7.62 ammo though, so at the moment I just have a big expensive club. ![]() Any suggestions on good slings? Also, pics coming soon, of all my black toys. |
