If you need anything special, I'll have to run out with the iPhone and put one up with Tapatalk.
Thanks! What sub frame are you running? I was able to pick up a neff sub frame but I still need the forward upper mount

No major updates but I moved the sidecar next to the bike and it looks like it has potential!

One of my copilots.

Today I also received my Neff Subframe All I need is to get a forward upper mount.

So I've decided that they bike will be naked. My inspiration:

So once I have fully completed the restore to my R65 or at least get it running to where it's rideable I'll be able to tackle this project. My goal is to at least get the bike running well and mounted before the Long Beach Motorcycle Show.

Thanks man! It would be nice to get some help. Usually I'd work on my bikes by myself or until my wife or brother in law comes home.

It's the original frame that came with the ST2. Works great!

Don't show me pics like this! I'd love to have that bike! Would make a perfect companion for the hack.

Naked is good, just don't be too quick to get rid of the wide handlebars from the RT. Leverage is a good thing, DAMHIKIJK!

That Lowell Neff subframe is a real find. Where did you pick that up?
I understand he passed away a year ago or so, but even before then was hard to get ahold of for the final few years.

No I plan on keeping the stock bars just because of the sidecar. BTW What does DAMNHIKIJK mean...

As for the Neff Subframe, I found it on IBMWR.org Market Place. I was checking almost every day multiple times a day.

Great project. I love the old Sputniks! ...the sub frame you acquired looks to be a great set up.
Keep the photos coming as she comes together.
I've been keeping on the lookout for a reasonably priced Sputnik hack in my travels but to no avail so far. I really like the Sputnik's configuration with the hinged hoods, etc.
Our old Jupiter hack is holding up well but I'd like to set up a 2nd. Sputnik rig using my old naked GL Goldwing. I think the GL would be a great tug.

Hey thanks! I'm super excited about it. I just need to take my time and budget myself monthly so I don't go broke building the hack. lol. I just need to tune up the bike really and throw on the subframe. I'd love to get it mounted and aligned before December so I can take my wife down to Long Beach for the International Motorcycle Show. That would be awesome!

My budget built tug took a couple years and a lot of scrounging but it was done cheap. I've been riding for well over 40 years and have never had so much fun as we do with the hack.
I got all my "speed" fixes on two wheels done at an earlier age. Of course a guy has to keep a couple two-wheelers around just in case.

We attend all the So. Cal. Airhead events we can during the Winter months. Agua Caliente at Anza Borrego for New Years Eve is a gas!.......... We're usually the only hackers there.
