Here is some footage of the PAR to Artimore. It's a great track. This was late in the day and the sun was a pain.

Here is a close up of the terrain

Hey Kipo, does the Dr weigh as much on the Artimore Track as it did last weekend on the hill in section 4 Clare R/T. Just asking
This is a great thread guys and anyone contemplating a trip to the Flinders could not ask for better info than that included here. Cant give enough credit to Dave at Angorichina, such a laid back guy making your bike holiday an enjoyable one without any hassles.

Here's another section of the PAR in the creeks before Hannigan Gap. Blue Berger is giving the big 570 some curry through here. This requires volume... Oh, did we mention the rocks??

In theory it should have weighed less at Clare R/T but it felt a lot heavier.

If that other DRZ and a WR450 were not laying on my line and I didnt have to invent a new one I would have made it

HEMA Maps

This often ignored road is on of the more picturesque parts of the Flinders.
It snakes it's way in between the Elder Range and the Western side of Wilpena Pound.
Graded Red Dirt is what you will find & stunning views.
It's about 28km, use it to create a loop with Bunyeroo gorge.

No mobile phone or WiFi at all between Hawker and Leigh Creek. I got some 4G contact at Wilpena Pound last week but that is it. Dave may know of some little spot nearby which might allow access, but I doubt it.

You could take some pub accommodation at Copley (5 kms north of Leigh Creek) and that gets full 3G. Friendly pub and half the population are very easy to get along with. My in-laws used to own the pub back in the late 80's, early 90's.......know it well!! Great bakery.

How nice to be in the Flinders during school holidays!!!!! Be careful on those blind corners Nazza, the tourists in 4WD's think they are the only people on the roads up there sometimes.

PS. DRZ Walker knows everybody up there....

cheers

Well as much as that freaks me out a bit it may be just what the doctor ordered. No more constant back and forth texting with the forbidden You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need.
Thanks Trev.

Thanks Trev.
You'll be right. There's a telstra card pay phone on the Village, and wait until you see the hills behind your camping ground at sunrise and sunset!

Watch out for roos and emus on your way there.

Great 3G signal at Parachilna now, you used to have to hold your phone up in the air outside the Pub to get 1 bar
Last weekend I got 4 Bars (signal) sitting under the verandah.
