Photos ..
Quote:
You do have the time to take a few shots with different exposures. On some cameras you can set this up to be done automatically - press the button and you get 3 photos with different exposures. I'd chose a variation between the shots of say a half stop in the aperture. What you are after is the change in colour with the different exposures? The difference between the professional photog and the amateur is the number of photos they take. Take more photos - you will get some good ones in there - throw the bad ones out ... or if you must keep them use the 'bad' one as records only .. not for display. Get a circular polorising filter - it will improve the sky + cloud shots ... and some other things too. use it to get another view of things. Look up the 'rule of thirds' for composition. If you are going to put the bike in the photo - best if it points into the center of the photo.. most times. ![]() Good Luck. |

thanks DR, we are staying at a Hut (unpronouncable name) in Alpana, Moolooloo only take 2 nighters.
We might drop by during the Sat if we are nearby, but I cant ride at night due to being a bit one eyed so must be "home" by dusk - or turn into a pumpkin will see you all Sunday anyway ! |

PRAIRIE HOTEL Parachilna.NO FUEL
Is motorcycle unfriendly
They will not open their fuel browsers for bikes, although I have heard of rare exceptions. They refused me & Friends 2 yrs ago & again during the Flinders Classic. I was told "No Fuel" & 1/2 an hour later watched the unlock the pumps for a 4X4. We were stuck in a downpour with the possibility of not being able to ride up the Gorge to Angorichina & they still refused fuel. I know of many who have been refused over the years. Angorichina village is 13 Km up the road & will welcome you on a bike. They have ULP/PULP/Diesel. I beleive Philth & Tim on their final leg to Melb on the Tigers were told no fuel. My advice is take a photo & go.
