Awesome! That is a great product you've developed there, no question about it. There will be MANY more applications for it outside the motorcycles.
If you guys get the other components (production, financing, distribution, shipping, etc. etc.) of it pulled together as impressively as you did the product R&D, you're gonna be golden.

I can't wait to place an order!

My understanding was that Lonestrom sent two before the one he sent on the Friday. I'm not sure what happened there. I was wondering why I never heard back from you though.

project update

I was out of town all April so very little got done on this until the last two weeks. Lonestrom is getting some up to date pricing on manufacturing and parts this week. I was able to acquire and repair a FANCY 21 year old analog oscilloscope for a few hundred bucks that can run circles around my brand new several thousand dollar Agilent digital scope. With it, I was able to track down the last little problem I had with the constant current circuit and I am very pleased to report that it now works exactly as intended (I had one incorrect capacitor on the board which was buggering it up slightly). All systems are now GO on the 8 channel bluetooth fuse block.

We are currently working on the Kickstarter resources and plan to get it online ASAP. I am absolutely tickled with the Gizmo we have here. It is exactly what I want on my bike. The tasks between now and Kickstarter launch are "business" rather than "technical" related. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

OK, please call to make sure you have the proper address - if you sent others then they never made it here.

Josh... I have a 30 year-old Tek 465 200MHz scope. It's a workhorse and for my purposes I have never calibrated it. Works like the day it left the factory.

Bluetooth Low Energy Support in Android 4.3

Rumor has it that Android 4.3 coming out VERY SOON will support BLE aka Bluetooth 4. This means that updated Android devices will have support for the 8 channel device. I will have to buy one of these devices so I can get it coded up PDMFQ.

I love it! I would mention that you should not pidgon hole your product to just for bikes, rather you may have a huge pool of aplications with cagers too.

yeah, didn't think so, and I just read a previous post you made about that fact while I was waiting for a video to load.

I am definately interested in a product like this, probably more than one, when you are at a production point. I have no idea what a kickstarter is, I am guessing it is similar to beta testing?

I did see where you were not set up for Androids in a post you made in January, I am also hoping that has changed in 4 months.

Kickstarter is a crowd funding system. We will be using it to fund an initial manufacturing run for early adopters. It will be the fastest day to get your hands on one. Once we build those initial units and get feedback on them, we will determine what changes we want to make before we do a "proper" manufacturing run (on borrowed money for standard distribution channels).

Hey Crafty,

I don't see any mounting holes in the pics of the epoxy encased protos, do you have a some mounting holes in the wind?

I suspect it's a cart and horse question but are you anticipating significant feature changes after the kickstarter run or just minor issue fixes?
