the 2013 noobs dv rally filled up fast (in a matter of 2 weeks). if you get yourself on the waiting list soon enough, very good chance you could get in.

Thanks for the RR update.I got a short version from Dan when I ran into him at the mail room just before he headed back state side a month or so ago. This RR has put me into planning mode for a ride I want to do up to the Arctic Circle via Norway this summer.

Odd about Piran. I rode in and spent a night in a hotel on the square this past june. Parked inside in a room reserved for moto's. Walked a couple of blocks to a restaurant on the bay and ordered some great seafood from a menu that had several languages including english.

They had barricades at the entrance to town and a neon sign that I had to park before them because the city parking was full, course there was no attendant, things may be different for bikes. In fact, another rider (2 up) rode up and turned around too.

Guess I was lucky. I remember one small town where I went thru an entrance by closely following a car that had raised the bar. Wonder if this was the place. I did see several bus loads of tourists arrive later in the afternoon. Left the next morning and rode to Plitvice for 3 days.

Just watched Go Pro video Dan took in Corsica (what a great gizmo) but did I fail to mention that motorcycling in Corsica doesn't get any better!
I forgot how there is usually more motorcycle parking than for cars.
Hundreds and hundreds of riders everywhere.
Perfect weather, great beaches and pretty good food!

I'm planning an Alaska ride this June. Still not fully committed, (having a hard time finding a riding partner) but really want to do it.
