Negotiations have been held with KevS69, Domonsura and KHB, and between them they will be preparing over 200 litres of some of the finest ales, lagers and porter I have tasted in a long time. That will be used to quench thirsts on the Saturday night until it is all gone. If there is any left over, then, along with leftover BBQ, it can be consumed Sunday night, maybe with a campfire down in the camping area, on the flat.

For those of you who haven't tried any of their brews, these guys have this process by the short and curlies.:cheers A big thanks to them for their help.

Kipo, on the other hand, under the cover of darkness, will be bringing a sample of Pt Augusta's finest moonshine for those brave enough to try it. ^duh

So the Saturday Trophy Night includes BBQ with trappings, trophies, firepit and laughs.......along with lots of comraderie - all for $25 a head which includes a large proportion of that money to Childhood Cancer. Ther beers are FREE and not included in the donation.

That porter this year was some of the finest ale I have ever consumed. Gotta juggle the calendar and be there

Kev made that Steve, he even hand grinds the grains using the traditional method of brewing from start to finish. I'm a bit of a lover of dark 'beers' and thought that the two NZ South ISland breweries had it right but Kev's Porter is out of the box.....by a long way. Don't ask about the alcohol content!!

Whatever it was, I consumed plenty and was clear headed the next day, always a sign of a top brew.

If the other blokes are committed to Kowen, and some are, I may revert to this year's plan A and bring Big Berg in the ute. unload for Dangali and the good bits, and load up again for the transports. Plenty of time to make it happen, so better add me and Mrs BD to the list, and if we can't get there, I shall advise ASAP.

Hmmmmm, more Porter

Considering you flew in and flew out this year I can only think that the Porter has made all the difference and encouraged you to return. More than welcome Steve, I'll put you both in as camping - Friday and Saturday nights? or longer?

Well done.
