At the Old School - Page 2

This one is in Reliance, VA. I believe its a former elementary school. The current owner has converted it into his home and has gone to great length to disguise it. I know its hard to see:.....but I didn't want to invade their privacy by getting any closer. I actually repaired the driveway for the owner about 5 years ago.

That's me. I have a list of about twenty places like that to go visit, including more schools. Lisa doesn't like it so much. She's afraid of what/who we might run into.

Not really an old schoolhouse,,, and not that rare around here...
An Amish school,,, grades 1-8. Then they go to work.

Noticed this one today.....it currently serves as a library and community center. It's located at Seven Fountains, VA ..... No proof it was ever a school, but its showing all the symptoms.

Nice place....one of the Harley guys left his bike at the turnoff wouldn't risk that mile of gravel I guess.

Sister just bought an old school last year,+100 years, all the boards from similar benches are still up in the attic. Cast iron is gone, I should have picked up when that place was our party house.

Our old party house....ahum school!Yeah we would have schooled you allright in there.

Now looks like this inside, the old bar,came from the local church that bar....

Of course, that was before the twist-off caps so we had to customize it.

Original furniture from the teacher's apartment, "Not for sale" we have a very good idea how much them are worth. Could buy someone a very nice used bike that old Quebec furniture.Maybe a little resto project for me someday to bring back to the original blue and greens, already looked.

Up the attic anyone....lots of stuff up there, I ain't showing.

Close the door....!

And have a drink with the BFI brother-in law!

He is big them old school walls are high....!

A couple drinks and....bathroom floor hasn't changed much, just as I remember from 30 years ago when it was our....party school, ahum house.

If walls could talk....but not sure I'd want that floor to talk.

^^^^ The chamber pot well, some may have noticed, that's a family heirloom....we like old crap!
