More from Keith

Hi All

Keith asked either Overlander or myself to post this up:

I have been getting a fair bit of interest in our tyre levers and although I have said that we can't make anymore it is because of the complexity and cost of making them in Australia. There is always a point where it becomes feasible, but it does put the price up.*
*
With that said if anyone is interested please use the form on our site and let me know, if we can get enough people I will make a batch. The downside is the price will be $100 a set which I know is a lot for tyre levers, I can however do a wheel spanner set at a discounted price to offset the cost to anyone that might want both.
*
Just a word on the pricing. I am not putting a high price on these tools because I think people will pay it. The cost of making small batches is very high, like most things the manufacture cost is dependent on volume.
A big part of the reason that we stopped making the tools is that if I get thousands made to keep the costs down, it takes a long time to sell them to recoup the investment.
A vicious circle really, but the alternative is China but then the risk is you get crap materials and everything breaks the first time you use it.

Have ordered a chain tool, and will probably grab a set of tyre levers if they do a run of those.

The "wheel spanners" are a bit of a mystery to me though - can anybody post a pic or a bit of a description?

I have the wheel spanner set and the tyre levers, but you can use any suitable sized ring spanner to fit the wheel spanner kit. They used to make very good wheel balancing weight kits too but it became too expensive for them to make in small batches.

What sizes are on that chain tool please? Looks like 3 different ones there. Presumably all 3 are cut in to the tyre levers?

You should be able to get these points answered via the website.
