Lemmie just hijack this sucker.
Besides, everybody likes pix, right? ![]() 6:45 this am. Got about 3“ of this white crap here on the mid-hillside. ![]() Walked across the street to the mailbox this afternoon & on the way back down the driveway I thought I saw antlers out of the corner of my eye. Backed up... ![]() Wonder how long he’s been there. About 12' from a bedroom window. ![]() ![]() Blue eyed moose? ![]() Ha! Just now a cow laid down for a minute in the woods out front, then got up & wondered off. Wonder if they were even aware of each outer. They weren’t more than 60' - 70’ apart but couldn’t see each other.. Now the bull wondered off. I could see the cow went out back, but no bull. Back to your regularly scheduled

Great pix Tom, especially the moose.
This morning I woke to this scene out the front door: ![]() I think my bike will stay in the house today. But maybe it'll warm up later this week, the weather guy says so... |

Sunny and Beautiful in Vail...
Have fun at Barley Therapy tonight. Sorry to miss two in a row. I do want you Fairbanksans to know that I tried to do us right at the GS Trophy Qualifier. I had a bum elbow fight me all the way through Canada and nearly derailed the whole trip to Moab...
![]() I was able to pull it together though and ran a 760 mile push from Missoula to Moab to make it in time to register. ![]() ![]() I placed 8th on Day 1 out of 40+ folks. That was a great day of riding and skills tests. JT, Hacky and I rode together all day as Team AK. Great Day. ![]() Day 2 was held at the local motocross track and it was definitely the toughest non-trail riding I've ever done. I placed 8th again, this time out of 15 finalists. Not too bad with a bum elbow. ![]() I did pull a few stunts worthy of mention though... firstly crashing in the middle of the course with no challenge in sight, I tweeked the throttle and laid down RawHyde's F800GS in a sliding dustball of Glory!!! Griz coached me into that one... He said on the sly, "just when no one expects it, goose the throttle in the loose gravel and crash with all your might!" ![]() I wasn't sure he knew what he was talking about but it worked! It cleared my head like a charm, just in time to take on the tires! ![]() ![]() Now I have two years to practice up and really give HackyMoto a run for his money! ![]() And I want you all to know that I really miss Fairbanks... I see the snow. Can't wait to get back to the dark and cold! ![]() ![]() ![]() Have fun at Barley Therapy... I'll see you all at the shop or at the November BT! Cheers, Justin |
