I've seen 20 footers there but the smaller the better, and operate without a generator. Talk about buzzkill...

Don in Nipomo ... propane and 12 volt light

Just back from riding Jawbone Canyon. Got a campfire permit from the Jawbone ranger station. Still have half a cord of Lemon wood in my truck.

It was cold and windy. Actually ran into to some snow flurries Sat. am.

The furnace and generator and all systems worked great, we stayed nice and toasty in the camper. Would have been cold in a tent (it was for my daughter and her boyfriend ).

Looks like sunny days in the mid 60's and nightime temps around 45 next weekend in Carrizo.. Much nicer than this weekend.

MMMMMMM....Bacon Sanmmiches....

Wonder bread, mayo and greasy bacon. The more Bacon the better. Kind of like a BLT but hold the lettuce and tomato

Hi Guys

Its looking more and more like I may have to pass on the Plains this weekend... too many chores to complete before Thanksgiving guests show up. If I do make it, it will probably be on a two wheeler.

Don't wait up for me.

Trailer needs work

Took my toy hauler out last weekend and now she needs work before the Thanksgiving trip, so I will have to pass on this trip. Bummer, I was really looking forward to my first side car experience.

Colleen and James are ramping up.

Checking out the Tioga MH the next couple of days.

We may bring our Tdubs if I can clutch by then.

What's the weather report?

Mid to high 60's during the days and mid 40's at night. Slight chance of rain Friday, maybe enough to cut down the dust

TW's with their fat tires would be a great choice for Carrizo. No steep hills (that I remember), very little difficult trails. Mostly graded roads and smooth double track. I did a lot of it with my Goldwing hack last year.

Weather looks cool and 30s at night. Possibilities of percipitation.
Damp cool ground, clear skies, no cell phone. There are some challengeing sections. Hoping to find a few more. TWs? I have a 1986 TT225, your big wheels should be fun.

Where are you getting your weather info Don?

National Weather Svc. now says high 40's at night and low to mid 60's during the day.

They are now calling for 40% rain all weekend which may be a game changer for me. I don't have rain gear that fits and I don't enjoy riding in the rain.

Got the gas, got the gear, got the urge so gotta go.
I'll watch the weather, you never know.
Might roll up the Coast to Plaskett or just hit Miranda Pines.
Who knows.... either way I'll take pictures.

Wonder if Dennis is still on ADVrider ?
There's a man who knows Carrizo.
