Well 300 miles short of labrador city I figured I had pushed myself far enough...
Temps were near freezing to below all week and then I started to get out into nowhereland
not a good combination riding alone or at all.
I ferried over st. Lawrence river and headed into New Brunswick, am headed to Arcadia Nat park on Maine coast.
All is well, once I return to Massacusetts later in the week I will write up a report.
Thanks all, especially Tim in Sutton Vt., for the help thus far
I'm off to try to beat the rain, looks like I will be rained into Arcadia for a day or two....

Smart decision. Ride safely on your way home and come back next season ( a little earlier!).

If I still had every dollar I spent on motorbikes I would be a richer man but a poorer person.

Wise man! There are too many fine places to ride to endanger yourself needlessly, Have a safe trip home and in future travels. Labrador will still be there next year.

Good move, John. You've had me worried since you left. The weather's been pretty moderate here, despite the rain. It's holding now at 55f, which is good for this time of year at this time of night.

glad to hear your ok, if you need a place to get dry and warm in northeast mass on your way.
I have Drink, Fire (wood burning stove) but will need a rain check on the trail/ road for about 4 months, which means more drink
let me know.

Sounds like you made a smart decision given the weather. Post the link to your ride report in this thread. I'll be interested in reading it.
