Howdy Bert,

Well Mr. Easyrider, your helmet is locked and loaded and ready for anything. Thanks again for a great deal on a great helmet amigo. Here it is next to my other carry on luggage:

I'm wearing my riding pants, boots and jacket so your helmet makes up the majority of my luggage. All my camping gear and tools are down with the bike.

Next stop......South America.

Saludos,
Nebraska John

Hi KLRmonkey,

Will do. In the meantime here is a pic of my current eerie office this evening which finds me cooling my jets at the airport. Check out the jets swirling in the carpet. With the fluorescent lighting it gives off a special greenish blue glow:

The sparkling blue quartz terrazo floors down the way make me appreciate the fact that I'm not on drugs. I'd be staring at them well after my flight took off. They are mesmerizing.

They have free wifi here, so plenty of time to catch up on ride reports and take care of the important things in life. Chief among those seems to be goofing off and having fun. I’m getting better at it.

My connecting flight in Florida is tight and will have me running through the terminal to the international flights. Probably no more updates until mañana. Should be in South America in 12 hours if all goes well. I’ll let you know how it goes. Ride reporting is a disease and I can’t stop.

I appreciate all the well wishes. Better go check-in.

Your ADVpal,
Juan Jetson

And so it begins. Again. Still in. ;)

Mi amigo Juan. We just shutdown Roll the Bones 4. 121 strong. About 100 of them heard me or Veriest1 talk about you coming through these parts. Had a fella from PA that came by way of Ottawa, Seattle, and CA on a Wee and a KLR who came from FL to Death Valley and caught us on the way back.

Stay on the throttle. ;)

+1 to what slowoldguy said.

I'm still in and the Big Texas Welcome is still open to you anytime you're 'round these parts.

Here's the little bike you inspired me to pick up (and I had to pick it up a few times this last rally).

Hey slowoldguy,

I miss you guys. Hey, I'm in the Lonestar State. Only for an hour though. Currently at DFW changing planes and sitting on the floor at the airport here in Texas for 10 minutes before heading to Florida.

Thanks for the fun pics from Roll the Bones Rally! That Tenere looks like a beautiful sculpture. I want one stuck in my back yard as garden art. You guys know how to have fun.

Saludos,
Juan Dallas

Here and there

WOOHOO !! Glad you are on the trip. Prep is done ... or not, but ya got some real movement now.
I'll be in Alabama doing stuff that I missed while traveling, like rallys, drag racing, etc. Plans are shaping up to sail in just about a year. We will see how that turns out. All the best to ya. ratbikemike
