have fun!

And that's just what you hit with your car on your way through.

Have a great hunt. Bring home some venison sausage. yum.

I said "should be". I just pulled up and it's 58 in the parking lot just for refference.

We did the pre ride in the normal counter clockwise direction & had a great day with some very talented drivers/Riders
RWAZ, Jersey Dave & his son Brandon manned the Razr's, Yardstick Slowred, Wild Bill Kelsoe & myself on the bikes. We left the parking lot at 9am kept a good pace & were ordering lunch before 2pm.
Yardstick led us through a back way to the Temple of doom that was pretty cool & the hills he discovered last year were interesting going down them, should be great fun to go up

The vote today was to do the reverse route again with a few bonus sections

So you're gonna do the battle ax trail first? You may need to stop at the beginning of the dirt to thaw out your fingers! Have a great time, guys.

Very true! Extra points toward doing it on the SE -- Heated grips! Anybody else considering doing this ride on a big bike?

Today was fun. Kinda pokey (cholla in the arm) and rough, but fun! I have about 40 pictures from the ride. Post them here or start a thread in Day Trippin'?

It was actually perfect riding weather & should be next Saturday too. Lows of 50 a high of 75 I might wear a windbreaker for the road section, but it'll come off once we hit the sand wash.

Allen, here or day tripping either one, I look forward to seeing what you got.

I thought about that. But if this weather holds we should be fine. I don't think anyone felt strongly one way or the other, so if everyone wants to go the counterclockwise direction I'm game. It was a great day of riding today. Truly AZ at its best!

If the current forecasts hold, it's probably going to be warmer next weekend.

Both ways

I would like to run it both directions. Hoping to find a few riders who don't want to stop much and we could run the dirt from the parking area and back in about the same time the main group does the whole route all the way through.

If you want to add some challenge, include The Luge!

Or in and out on big bikes?

Maybe?

I mostly wanted to get in the most riding I could seeing as it's a 2 hour trip to get to the staging area. If we end up with only a dozen guys and we can do all the extra's that would be great.

I would be up for this as a big bike trip but it would have to be part of a full days riding. Maybe we can plan a trip that brings this into play and we end up down in Benson. YB and I did a loop down that way that had a great section after Benson over to Patagonia with a few sections that would match up with the Coke Ovens route that would be a great loop.
