I think his start time was pushed back by 51/2 mins, so not a bad deal, but Sam thinks he was delayed much longer!

A fall on the first part of the third stage of the Rally of Morocco —a 357km run between Erfoud and Zagora— has taken Marc Coma out of the race. The MRW rider suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the accident and was taken to hospital in Errachidia, where his injury was treated. He will return to Spain tomorrow. His teammate, Joan Pedrero, had little luck on the stage either, and a navigation mistake cost him several minutes and lost him a place in the overall standings.

Second after two stages, Marc Coma’s fall eliminated him from the race. In an off-road section requiring a moderation in speed, the rider hit a mound of sand with his rear wheel at about 50 km/h and was flung over the handlebars of his KTM, hitting his left shoulder. Hélder Rodrigues, who had been riding behind him, came to assist until Joan Pedrero arrived. At that point, the rally helicopter landed to take Coma to hospital. The dislocation was subsequently attended to and the first X-rays were taken, ruling out any fractures. Coma will travel today to Casablanca, before being flown to Barcelona tomorrow for further tests on the extent of the injury.

Also I must say that I am starting to warm to Cyril again, I like the extra effort with his daily videos

Especially in the french video, Despres almost sounded that not seeing dust behind him when on to of the mountain was kind of a give away that something bad had happened. Not sure how much that plays with your head to keep on pushing. especially as you do not really know the extent of the drama...

Yeah, I feel the same. He seems properly tired after today's stage.


Good for Marc that he was picked up quickly. I thought he would have to wait for support trucks.
He'll probably be treated by that famous orthopedic in Barcelona that patches up MotoGp guys.
