Just read that Botturi yesterday fell down on a dune cassée, so explained the 7-8 lost positions, but not the 30' penalty...

left wrong right right?
Photo on the left is from DAKAR in Africa, years ago...The guy standing over him is wearing a Dakar emblem and Marc has Euromilhoes on the top of his number badge...Plus he's wearing the Repsol orange, red, blue on his jacket.

Those two photo's of the rocks and the speed jolt my memory in a bad way, makes me remember my crash in the 2007 Safari, except i hit the tree and scattered my bike and myself over the rocks at 100 kmh. Had sweaty bad dreams of that day for a long time. Ended up in Halls Creek hospital. Brave brave guys.
Have we ever had 50 pages on this rally before? For may the sand dunes may seem harder, it is actually easier to push the limits than on the rocky paths, off piste you can miss a turn where as here on the rocky paths its impossible.

as mentioned before,
would ktm be concerned enough about mark being out and possibly not 100% for dakar, to tell my mate cyril to go easy and not risk himself before dakar.??? - essentially step back & let the others fight over this one

It's possible. In the grand scheme, Dakar is the real prize. As exciting as Morocco is, for many, it's a shakedown for Dakar.
