R850R- R850GS project update

So here is my R850R-GS project.

The only original R parts left are the frame, forks, tank, seats, front fender, wheels and side fairing pieces.
I might change wheels out if I find them at a descent price.

Looks Factory, very tidy.

Nice job on the external fuel filter.

After market panniers and RACKS will fit from a GS. It would really look BOSS with Touratech panns.

I put Happy Trails from a 1150GS on my 1150 Rockster! Lowered the exhaust and got two full size panns too. Bolted right on with a spacer on the footrest mount.

Thanks,

After changing the fuel filter and then going 500 miles and getting a bad tank of gas I swore I would never have an R bike again without the filter mounted outside the tank.

Nice setup.

I missed a great deal on an 850 a few years back.

I see it all the time riding around town.

a big plus one on the GS conversion.
