The ability to adjust, and having some form of decent rebound and compression damping completely transforms the F800.
This is why I get so frustrated that BMW wont fix it. It's such a versatile bike when done properly. What are they afraid of?

I'm not sure how much the mod I did would have added to the cost of the bike but I can't imagine it being much and I'm aware that the spring upgrade adds to it but the adjustment alone would really help this bike.

Yep, I also checked back with them just a couple of days ago. Further delay in production and delivery, no details given. Maybe time to check out that MUPO cartridge...

These are actually my second choice. I wanted to get the HH-Racetech ones, but they are tough to get as well. Petzi-baer |

Are they? I talked to Mr. Hofmann last year and it didn't seem to be a problem...

That seems odd, I ordered mine in January from Anderwerks and got them by end of February. They are installed and ready for testing (that'll be tomorrow hopefully
). They have the seperate rebound and compression dampening on each fork and required no modifications to the forks like the previous versions did, so I would think they are the new setup. The rear shock was the one I had to wait for, it jsut came in a couple weeks ago. Just finished getting it all adjusted and set up today, Had to go back and get some more preload set into the rear so I could get the sag right with all the camping gear loaded up.

Possibly they are the earlier ones. I was under the impression though that those required the bottom of the fork to be machined out. These required nothing to be modified, just a direct install.
The rear shock is am S46DR1B. Both front and rear were specified to my weight and loading. And yes, I did get the Indy kit for it.

I don't have the part numbers right now, but they are from Ohlins directly, not through the Canadian importer. They are based on the NIX cartridges. I got them through Dave at Anderwerks, I just did the r&r and dropped them off with him to do the actual installation in the forks.
