Now that I'm at home, I dug out the invoice. The front kit is shown as OH-FGK 30000M. They did come out of the US from Ohlins directly.

Yeah - I think that is the earlier kit done by Öhlins USA. The newer one is produced by the "mothership" and supposed to be a bit cheaper, whenever it's available.

In any case, they are a vast improvement on the stock guts.

Oddly enough these looks different:

But sometimes they generic pictures so I don't really know. Lets hope now ones show up soon.

New NIX30 cartridge kits

Also available for earlier models? (Not WP 2013)
Someone knows?

Adventure bike fork upgrades - BMW F800 GS and Triumph Tiger
Öhlins launched two more applications for the ever growing Adventure bike sector with two of the most popular machines now covered; the BMW F800 GS and Triumph Tiger 800 (inc XC) models.

These two go anywhere all-rounders can now benefit from improved handling with the introduction of new fork cartridge kits for standard front suspension. Fully adjustable via the top cap, these NIX30 cartridge kits feature rebound in one leg and compression in the other, with a newly developed hydraulic stop to prevent the forks ‘bottoming out’ in harsh off-road terrain.

Easy to install and service, these kits make all the difference to these mid-weight Adventure machines whether riding on the gravel, tarmac or mud.
The cartridge kit fits bolt on and is easy to install in most standard hypersport front forks.

It is also a standard feature in the new Road&Track FGRT200 front fork.

FEATURES:
- External rebound, compression and spring preload adjusters
- Easy to change settings for individual preferences
- Wide range of spring rates available
- Easy installation and service
- Available for all Hypersport models

So 2013 or not only, anyone?

Installation of the Ohlins NIX cartridges on my 2009 F800GS required removal and shipment of the forks to Hendersonville, NC for alteration by Ohlins USA.

Thanks Fred but...

The 2013 EICMA newly presented kit:
http://www.ohlins.com/Our-products-n...Cartridge-kit/ seems to differ from the one offered before. At least the compression cap design does.

I am now curious if it still requires the bottom to be machined and if available for none WP 2013 model.
I sent few emails to Ohlins/vendors with the hope of an answer and will revert back.

It says right on the site they are bolt on and all adjustments are at the top, leading me to believe they don't require modification of the fork.
