Yeah, I've got a plated 09 klx351 that I've got set up for mostly dirt but can do some slab with it too. Hit me up this spring or summer. I try to go on a few trips and will probably hit a couple of DS rides this year if you are interested.
As far as winter activities... Bottineau to the east of you has a ski area. Ice fishing. Snowmobiling. Not sure what you're into and not a whole lot of options. Binge drinking. Cow tipping. (usually go well together). X-country skiing, snowshoeing. Winter's can be pretty rough but the summers usually make up for it.

Hey there, fellow Willistonites! Would you all want to meet sometime for coffee? I'm at Meg-A-Latte all the time, so stop by if you see a black V-Strom parked on the street!

We could do that. It may be a while before I'm riding up there though....

Nice! I saw you down like a block away from the back. I was going to stop and say hi but I wasn't driving.

Bottomed out the thermometer!

Jeez, you guys are nuts.

What's the temp up there today? -20 deg F? -7 deg F here. I remember walking to school (NDSU) and it was -37 deg F.

Another Super Ten rider out of Dickinson here. There's a good dual-sport club down in the Black Hills named Dakota Dual Sport, google them, they do some cool trail rides in the B. Hills every Spring and Fall. I went to one about a year ago on my KLR (sold). A little too much bike for some of the trails really. A lot of guys showed up on Yama WRR's.

Yep, let's put the word out on this thread as Spring draws closer. I'm always looking for an excuse to ride.

They're a great group of guys, very easy going and fun. Highly recommend going to one of their rallies if you can make it.
