Does anyone have a picture of how the headlight unit mounts to the support bracket without the fairing on it?

Yes, I got an e-mail response to the effect that any primer for fibreglass will be fine for the fairings, but that the tanks should not be painted.

Thanks for the info.

I wonder how well the LED version of the light works and if one could order it directly from Rally Raid w/ the Evo-2 Kit.

Our Squadron 3” x 3” light is the next generation of LED lighting! This light packs 4,300 Lumens that will truly annihilate the night.

The Squadron exceeds HID output yet weighs only 12oz.

I had a Round Face plate made to fit the RR Kit

The high beam from the RR is actually not too bad.

I would be skeptical to try the LED version. Maybe Baja Dad can share more insight and a close up picture of his Squadron high beam conversion.

Anyone put an HID in the RR Headlight (Hesa Fire)?

How's the output?
Any overheating issues?

Sorry no pics.
I have tested many LED, HID and H4 H/L
LED's off road are great up to about 60 mph then you will out run them
on my 690 I loved the BD LED out put was great NO overheating at all
after I did my mods to the RR light bucket
If I could fit them in the mask--I would run TWO BD LEDs and Call it GREAT !!!!!!!
( Maybe that's what I will do on my Husaberg Rally 450 !!!! )

Finally got the tanks on and got out.

Low fuel light just came on at 194 miles

How many miles are you guys seeing after the light comes on? I understand terrain and riding style will play a big part. Just looking for a guesstimate.
