Lost GoPro

Yes I did.
I was following the Continental Divide.
I had it mounted on the front right crash bar of a black GSA.
I was riding two up following another rider.
When I lost it I was hauling ass, dusty but not too bad of a dirt road.
Can not remember the exact road but could find out from the guy I was following.
The camera had a wifi back to it. It broke at the case mount junction.
Not sure of what content was on it but it had a few days content.
I was wearing grey pants and a red jacket with a black helmet if that helps
This would be cool if I can recover the content but otherwise thanks for posting it. The GoPro people notified me of your post.

I also lost a Go pro mounted to my GSA's light bar, but mine is somewhere on the Gravelly Range in Montana.

I always thought a fishing leader would be a good idea to back up your camera/gopro.

I zip tied my PIAA grills after losing one.

somebody else had a good idea of taping a quick vid of yourself giving out contact info and always leaving it on your memory card.

Or a still image of your contact info. Same goes for the digi cams. Good luck!

^^ These only work if people want to be honest and helpful. Dont get me wrong...I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I'd much rather take precautions to help avoid having to rely on others.

Great thread, hope we get to hear how the story ends..... warm n fuzzy it is.

I suppose a guy could include a screen shot of his bike's license plate and his own mug shot and an e-mail address on memory cards too for future or later "dualsport forensic indentification".

Who knew "flying cameras" would turn into a thing.

This is a good idea.

I lost one briefly in Spain this last week but thankfully noticed it gone and backtracked a few miles and found it lying on the ground taping the birds and clouds....
