Scientific fact.

I didn't know that you all were a bunch of secessionists up there. I though that was reserved for Quebec.

I'm not smart enough to embed this, but I salute those who can.

You need the "Embed" code to do that.

I think the biggest problem that you lot need to worry about in Newfoundland, (and specifically Mary's Town) is your etiquette. See the Breaking News:

That strikes way too close to home. In the non-moto season, I shoot competition archery at a small archery range here. Someone went into the "washroom" and squeezed out a steamer of biblical proportion. Competition archery is something that takes a fair amount of discipline and breath control. It's wicked difficult to do if you're gasping with eyes glazed over.

I tried to embed this without success. I used to be able to with the old code, but the the new one defeats my efforts:

Try Firefox for a browser, I can not embed a video in "IE" but can with Firefox. I'm not sure why though

I'm using Firefox, Ace. I don't know why I'm still in a questionable position. Great vid, all the same.

Are you using the embed code? And adding it as a link on the ADV site? I use Chrome and it works for me.

I used to sort out postscript "stack dumps", so I don't think I'm clueless. However, howabout those fellas jiggin' in the kitchen? Utterly beautiful.

There are people on this island who still believe there was a plot to "sell" our country to the Dominion of Canada rather than let us join the USA. The referendum in '48 put three options on the ballot. Self Government, join Canada or economic union with the USA. The split was close but after a second ballot we became Canadians in 49.
The pink, white and green is flown alot here and is the flag of the Newfoundland Republic.
We consider ourselves Newfoundlanders first then Canadians.

Fogo Island, and more specificly Brimstone head, is considered one of the four corners of the world by the Flat Earth Society.

I'd like to believe in a flat earth. I'd also like to believe in a world that would not fight the first world war over. Les braves Gens, all for no point whatsoever. Newfoundland sacrificed her manhood for a few acres of earth which meant nothing in the end. Someone got a Lordship because of it.

Camping Spots near Antigonish

Hello all.

My apologies for the hijack - but it seems like you folks are in the know with regards to eastern Canada...

I'm planning a Trans-lab ride this summer - heading to St. Johns first, then Gros Morne, across to Blanc-Sablon etc....

Just plotting out some camping spots along the way to Sydney. My riding partner and I will be meeting up nightly with the wives and kids in the van (they're going to backtrack after Gros Morne). Based on our estimates of daily mileage it looks like we will land around the Antigonish area the night before the final push to Sydney.

Any camping spot recommendations in the antigonsih area would be much appreciated - ideally relatively private and not surrounded by RV's and generators!

Thanks in advance...
