Mostly gone now, fortunately. The high was +7C today and a little higher tomorrow. We hope to get out for a while on our DRs.

The south coastal boats popped into my brain just before I fell asleep so here I am working the iPhone to death trying to get info on them. Here's the link:

http://www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservice...les/index.html

I'm thinking that the Burin to Harbour Breton run would be fun , then maybe even over to Burgeo.

I think the DRs could travel as deck cargo no problem.

The Bay l'Argent to Pooles cove run is very easy but you don't get much time in Roncontre because the regular ferry service means they offload quickly. The boat does overnight in Roncontre in case of emergencies but I have not stayed there. I have lifted a couple of bikes on at a time.
An 0900 lift on puts you in Pooles Cove around 1400ish but the ferries to Burgeo from there take some timing to hook up and one night in Grey River on a Monday If I recall correctly.

I'm thinking that the boat to Pool's Cove would be a great way to start the trip back to PAB. Getting to Burgeo after a few days in the Harbour Breton area would be a bonus. Must check this out on a real computer.....

Uppa data...

Not wanting to be the runt, I bought a DR650 for the NF ride. It's in great shape and I'll be setting it up for the ride soon.

In other news...
At this very moment I am in the right seat as my riding pal drives us down I-81S in VA. We're going to ride TET sections 7, 6 and 5 through VA, WV, NC, SC and GA for a week. I totally messed up my back helping my son move. Sitting and laying down are great but standing? Ouch! The doc wanted me to start P.T. asap but I told him I'm going camping for a week. I may have forgotten to mention the mode of transportation involved.

C-Stain:
Will you be bringing an MRI machine with you on this one?

No - but perhaps a standard X-ray machine. Because here's my current situation:

Thanks for the well wishes - while I won't be riding the ROCK this year, it is on my radar!

Also looking at reevaluating my motorcycle choices - it may be time to look SERIOUSLY at a 250cc class machine.

We'll see what Mrs Stain says after I can ambulate in my own again.

Damn C-Stain, I hope you heal quickly and are able to get back on the bike before the season ends.
