My hat/helmet is off to you... I did 1586 in one day and if I would have had my gun with me, I may have shot my MC.

There is something about the seating position or handlebar position that is a bit off for me compared to a 2009 KLR650 I sat on, but for the life of me I can't figure out the difference(s) to try to alter the DR650 to make it more neutral. |

400+ miles on my 2003 R6 which is exceptionally tiring when you are 6'2"
That was the first time I fell asleep on a bike.

Define "day"
![]() FJR1300- 1400+ or so in 21 hours, I'd have to look at a map and figure some side trips to get exact miles. KLR650- 1100 miles in 19.5 hours Aprilia Falco- 870 miles in 15 hours, including CA-128 to CA-1 back to 101. Tiger 800XC: 700 miles in 16 hours... two up. Stock seat. Most painful of all these I've mentioned. |

200 miles or so on dirt, the 300 miles or so on secondary two lane roads, the balance slab. |

My longest was a 1083 mile day followed by a 934 mile day. Not my idea of fun but I had an unexpected job interview come up that I couldn't reschedule and had to haul ass home. Normally if I'm riding solo I try to keep it to around 550 miles a day and 450 miles if I'm in a group.

GJ to CC
900 miles exactly from my driveway in GJ, CO to campground just outside Carson City, NV on the interstate. Cannonballed it in a day so I could take two days to come back on the "loneliest road". On my FLSTSC, no windshield. A lot of comparable days up in "the land of the midnight sun". Easy to rack up the miles when it never gets dark.

650 miles an a bone stock Sportster that was grossly overloaded. Stock shocks, stock seat and stock zero-wind-protection. Add in a dash of 3 hours of driving rain as well as 5 hours of August in FL and I was beat down. The whole ride was interstate. Don't think that I will ever run the super slab like that again unless I am forced to. It sucked.

At one point i was like a sheet of ice as the sleet and snow froze on me . Hard riding and not nice at the time but I'd do it again ! A good endurance ride ......

The longest ride I ever took was 27 miles. I hadn't been on a motorcycle in 30 years and didn't listen to good advice and bought a new HD Heritage that I had to ride from the dealer in Salt Lake up to Park City, UT using backroads and then the last 8 miles on the freeway. I was scared shitless.

about 900 twice. the onle thing that really wears on me is the heat. if weather is nice im fine. i could do over 1000 just stopping to eat and for gas. its much nicer when you dont have to be there though and can take your time.
