I'll see what can be done about getting some rides together (tracks) but they take time and I don't have much of that.

I can work up some routes but you never know where they may take you. I like to try and stick to the route as close as possible. If I haven't actually have ridden it, well then the route should be considered an adventure.

The Rainbow people where the last large group to use the Cliff Lake area, about four hundred of them where reported to have been at their gathering in March.

Fire wood could be minimal, I didn't see much last time passing through. I'm not so sure about gas being in Sumatra but there should be plenty of fried food.

I don't have a cell phone but for you folks that do, I'm not sure if you can connect to the rest of the world while in this area of the forest.

I can assist in some of those answers.

I intend to pre ride some stuff, but please note that I don't normally carry a GPS, log tracks, email GPX files, or really give a shit where I am. I carry a compass, and gear that I need to exist, and accomplish self rescue.
Not knowing exactly where you are isn't a problem. LOST is a BIG problem

Firewood was not abundant. Those in trucks plan to haul some in if possible, or tools to process some onsite.

No fuel in Sumatra unless you have a diesel bike that can run on fryer grease- bring fuel with you, or be ready to run some tar to get it

On AT&T (no bars in more places) service is a 10 minute ride away for anything you'd call reliable-ish YMMV

I'll be riding next weekend as well. Hope to scope out another decent ride without beating myself to shit on the sand traps known as "motorcycle trails."

No chiggers were harmed (or fed) in the making of this post.
