Hey, gals - The following event is taking place in Keystone, CO next year in August. I know this is pretty early, but I also know some folks make plans early.

Women's Motorcycle Event

The host facility looks a bit pricey but they do have condos to rent. If a group got together, could probably get the price down to something reasonable.

That's terrfic the AMA Women's conference isn't on the east coast this time. Whaaaahooooo I might just need to do this. I haven't looked at what's available in the area but my guess is there's probably some camping available. I love Colorado this would be a blast!!

Am sure there's abundant camping not far away, but if you want any relatively local research done on the subject, let me know. Be pretty fun to meet up with the riders from this forum!

If there was a designated campground we could all meet there. That would be fun.

Any one else interested in heading for CO in 2009?

Do you get out there anymore!
I make it back to Germany about every other year - unfortunately it's mostly in the winter time (tickets are way to expensive in the summer month).

My next visit to Germany will be in March, maybe with a short trip to Prague and/or Italy....

Seems like we might be pulling something together! I started a thread about it in the Rockies forum and subscribed to it so I can bring it to life again as it sinks to the bottom of the line up as it inevitably will since Aug '09 is so far away. Just thought a thread might be an easier way to keep track of info rather than have it scattered in this thread.

Will try to keep tabs on the AMA website to notify folks when registration info is posted. Don't know if the conference will have limited registration or not.

Granite Girl...you probably have better info about about camping in Keystone than I, so if you want to handle that end of things, great. If you want help, I'm happy to assist. It would be important to find someplace that would take reservations as opposed to first come, first served since there will likely be a lot of folks in town looking to camp not to mention locals and tourists.

Sure!! I haven't actually done much camping over that way. But I'm just a lowly grad student and am usually looking for ways to procrastinate (aka, looking for campsites online). But if anyone has first hand info, it would be much appreciated! As well as your offer to help, Flygirl! Maybe we'll all have to get together sometime and discuss findings over beer!!

Beer? Did someone say beer?? We've got lots of time to plan, but I can always meet for a beer! The next few weeks are kinda bad for me, but maybe just before or after Thanksgiving or in December? How was that for definitive...yeesh.
