which one are you?
So I had an interesting encounter with a co-worker of mine. She’s around 50, and has ridden pillon on her husband’s HD as long as they’ve been married. Recently they’ve had a couple of unplanned get-offs and she thinks her SO’s balance “isn’t what it used to be”. She decides to go ahead and learn to ride. Takes the MSF course, fails it. Takes it again, fails it again. She seriously asked me if I’d take the evaluation for her. Hmmm. “Don’t think so”. Third time’s a charm. She passes it (that’s the story), and husband buys her a brand new shiny Harley, she comes down to my desk to tell me about it. After her trials with the MSF class, I’m hoping she got something pretty small and easy to handle.
______________________ She: Well, I got my new bike! Me: Cool! What kind is it? She: Harley Davidson. Me: Okay, which Harley Davidson? She: Umm…silver. Me: Is it a Sportster? She: That doesn’t sound right. Me: What size is it? Are there numbers in the name of it? She: Ohhh. You’re a biker bitch aren’t you? Me: Huh? She: There are two types of women motorcycle riders, you know? There are the ones like me who don’t know anything about motorcycles and don’t want to. We’re biker babes. Then there are women like you who know how motorcycles work and change their own oil and stuff. You’re biker bitches. ______________________ WTF? Anyone heard of this classification system before? Not that I care too much what people like this think or say, but I thought some of you ladies might get a kick out of this.

Wtf???
Don't worry..natural selection/Darwin's law dictates she will take herself out of the gene pool soon enough!!
Statistics don't lie. I wish her no harm , I'm just "sayin'....." It's too bad that until that happens, she will be an "ambassador"/stereo type of sorts to the non-riders out there... And a negative one at that! If being a capable, clued in RIDER means being classified as a "BIKER BITCH" by some helpless clueless wanna be, then by all means, call me a bitch! I personally have been called worse...MUCH worse! Please keep us posted on her "progress"..it's interesting in a "train wreck" sort of way...

It takes all kinds
I could have seen my wife if the "biker babe" made that comment to her:
Babe: "Oh, you're a biker bitch, aren't you?" My wife: "Why, yes, I am." slap...slap...slap...." Oh look, I broke a nail!" BEAN

I doubt the biker babes would even find this site and I doubt they would hang around if they did. Posers on Harleys; why is it always a Harley?

![]() My own experience: Had my 650GS loaded in the back of the pickup - for what reason, I can't remember now - and stopped at a gas station for some fuel. I get out, pull out the pump, start fueling when I notice this guy looking at my bike. Him: "Nice bike!" Me: "Yeah, I like it." Him: "What is it?" Me: "BMW 650" Him: "Oh. Sweet. Is it yours?" Me: "Nahhhhh... just hauling it for a friend." *said with complete sarcasm which was totally lost on him.* Him: "Yeah, it's too much bike for you." ![]() I left the gas station laughing my ass off.

Just found this thread.
Nice to know I'm not the only one out there. Two bikes for two reasons : vintage 1973 R75/5 'cause it's just so sexy '03 F650GS for touring the world (only a fraction of it so far). |

Another Chic here
Hey Ladies,
I have often wondered about how many women are on this site... Background...started in 97 on a CBR F3, then bought a KTM 200 EXC, KLR 650, have a vintage 250 Puch, and my new love my Vstrom 650. I rode it to Alaska and Canada last year solo, some of you probably saw the ride report. And I met Barb in Alaska, she rocks... I was just in BV, CO for the west Rally and met some women, I can't remember names...but it is always great to see other women on bikes. My big dream is to ride the Dakar by 2011. I know I am nuts, but that's okay. I am completely okay with that!! Nice to meet all of you.. Smitty Pic from Alaska
