Him: "Nice bike!"
Me: "Yeah, I like it."
Him: "What is it?"
Me: "BMW 650"
Him: "Oh. Sweet. Is it yours?"
Me: "Nahhhhh... just hauling it for a friend." *said with complete sarcasm which was totally lost on him.*
Him: "Yeah, it's too much bike for you."

I left the gas station laughing my ass off.
Reminds me of a story I have.............
I was at a stop light, on my little Blue R6. There was a pick up truck parked next to me in the other lane. Three guys in the cab (all coming home from work). They are looking at me kind of funny. Maybe they thought I stole it from my boyfriend or something.

Anyway the driver has his window down and I have my face shield up so I ask him "does your girlfriend have one of these"?

He says "no".

I say "dump her" the ight changes and I do my best Ben Spies impression and zoom away as the light turns green.

I'm really enjoying reading all the stories & posts!
Beckstatic, I'm living vicariously thru you! Our bikes are all in hibernation for the winter up here.
Last summer when stopped for a coffee on a ride up north, this guy rider kept asking over & over do you really ride alone?? I couldn't believe it!
Yah, gals can't ride all by their lonesome selves.

Don't know...

If this has already been posted here, but, thought y'all would like to see what one of our sisters is doing:

It's a righteous cause, so spread the word!!

If any of you went to Keystone in August for the AMA event, Alysa was a BMW ride leader!!!

Had no idea this thread was around. I guess I'll give a short intro:

I've been riding since I was 12, and about 3years ago got into dual sport riding. About the same time I became an MSF and RE coach. Really cool side job, good for karma, and you can write motorcycle stuff off!!!!
Glad to meet y'all!!!

Pregnant... and riding?

Hi,

Just wondering what others think about riding while pregnant.

I'm 4 months now, and here in Canada it's the middle of winter. By the time motorcycle season comes around I'll be 7.5 or 8 months pregnant, so pretty huge. Aside from obvious issues like gear not fitting, would you even consider riding -- either your own bike or as a passenger? (I ride a goldwing -- so sit upright and no off-roading.)

I'm sure I'll know when I get there if it's even an option, but just... wondering what you think.

Thanks!

F.

My feeling is what is comfy for you ..
What might be for is not for the other..
One must know their own body...
And own confidence level..

I had friends that rode horse's and fox hunted up to their 8th month ...
But they rode every day... Had reg check ups . The DR. said fine being they had been riding right along and was fit...

I hope this helps..
