Horizons Unlimited, Cambria 2012 looking for volunteers

Hey my sweet peeps,

It's that time of year again! The world renound adventure riders' delight Horizons Unlimited October 18th weekend at the gorgeous bluffside venue of Camp Ocean Pines in the quaint coastal town of Cambria, California.

I will be presenting again and putting on a fun moto camping cooking demo for those who want to learn a few culinary tips for two-wheeled dining.

This year founder Grant Johnson is recovering from prostate cancer, so he and his wonderful wife Susan need all the help they can get. For those who want to come and enjoy this amazing event and even help volunteer along the way you can sign up here.

If you want to take the time to check out the fine details of last year's event you can peruse my ride report from last year that includes my post-event ride to Yosemite.

In the meantime, you can check out my coverage of last year's event in Adventure Motorcycle Magazine...

Hope to see you guys there!

Soon,
Nicole

If you are at all interested in long distance touring you should get to this (if any where near local to it, say 1,000 miles of riding).

The main one in the UK is limited to 500 people - and is booked out for months before hand.

I had the honor of presenting at this meeting last year. Great event. Folks from all over show up. Terrific location. Lots of riding close by. Sunsets over the Pacific.

What's not to like?!

I went last year. Had a great time. Won't be able to make it this year, but I would recommend it to anyone who has not been to one yet.

Heck, 1600 miles from Texas! Leaving Sunday. Anybody going along the way? Alberquerque, Flaggstaff, Barstow?
