I just picked up a couple of scrappers.... one for me, one for Pete to ride if I can convince him to come along again....

Just need to get one of them out of Myanmar... and both of them home.... Sounds easy eh?

This ride should be a big one. About 40 riders so far have indicated their intentions to be there. Some top prizes and give aways are being assembled. Could be a good night at the Oxford also. See you there.

Oh you bloody show off! I've been looking for a good one of those for years so don't be too surprised if it goes "missing" at some point

Good luck with the importation!

Say Perry, do you think we could get leave passes for the Inverell soiree?

CT185 Skipper

Please do not put the jinx on me about reliability.

The bike is an 1982 CT185 Skipper Ag bike that was given to me a few years ago for my grandson. He spent a bit of time and a few dollars on it whilst learning to ride. Somehow, I ended up with this and he took home my DR200 electric start ag bike.

It required a few more bits to get it roadworthy so I purchased a CT200 auto ag for $20 to get the tyres, seat and a few other bits off it, the tank I had to pay a few dollars for. I then begged, borrowed and stole a few more bits and it is now ready for rego.

At this point in time, it has cost me $105 plus rego.

Has anyone indicated when we can register for next year's Scrapheap. We are keen to start our fundraising proper.

The new NX is all but ready for a shakedown ride. So far it has cost me $375.00.

Soon Mick, soon!

DSA NSW changed the fundraising platform.

I have been waiting for ' a few weeks' since July.

It is days away and we can start to take registrations.

Thanks everyone for your patience

Hey Mick

Consider coming to Inverell for our fundraising ride on 9 Feb. See above flyer. About a 300 km ride and a night at the Oxford Hotel.

Rooms available for $20.

Hey Col,
I will certainly give it some thought, although we are thinking about running a trail ride fundraiser about 3 weeks later here on the coast. At this stage I think there are 6 riders leaving from the Port Macquarie area for the Scrapheap ride.

Cheers
Mick

Keep in touch and give us the dates for your ride. You never know.
We have about 10 at this stage.

At this stage including a $200 purchase price, the NX650 owes me $375. I took her out to a friends property today and gave her a shake down ride, I am now confident the bike is up to the 2013 Scrapheap Adventure Ride

She seems to be going really well. It certainly goes better than it looks!

Well you certainly did better than me on the price front...

Mine was $425 just for the bikes, $470 all up, pretty much ready for rego.
