Cidah Run Adventure Bike Ride (DARC VI), 10-28-12, Glocester, RI

Click on http://www.kingphiliptrailriders.com/ for directions and GPX file.

The start location is Char’s Bar & Grill:
http://charsbarandgrille.com/index.html
812 Putnam Pike (Rt. 44)
Chepachet (Glocester), RI 02814

http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=41....14&form=LMLTCC

The course will be 113 miles
Bike should have knobby tires for the WR sections
Kickstands up approx. 9:30AM

Parking available for trucks and trailers. This will be our last DARC ride of the season. This is a big bike friendly Adventure Bike Ride and foliage should be near peak. The route will utilize the George Washington Management Area and Pulaski State Park. Route sheets may be available as well as GPS tracks. Otherwise it will be a follow the leader ride. No arrows. As always, no aftermarket exhaust systems. The sound meter is my ear. If I don't like what I hear your riding solo somewhere else that day. This is not an enduro bike ride (turkey run). No 2-strokes. This is for QUIET street legal from the factory Adventure and dual sport bikes. ****** No numbers on your side covers****** This is not a race!!!!!! ATGATT is mandatory. Dress for the crash, not the ride. All DARC rides have no entry fees, and no ridiculous "Parking Donation" fees like we are seeing in so many other events. Just come and enjoy a day of riding with like-minded riders. Knobbies highly recommended.

He's a "green" rider. No carbon footprint. See how green he is?

How long do you anticipate this ride being? Pulaski isn't very big.

This was a no brainer until I realized it's the same weekend as the Pachaug, CT "Camp-N-Ride" [ http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=404 ] which I'll be attending for sure..

It sounds like you have a pretty solid route planned out but if there's potential to combine the two events in some way that could be great.. Pachaug "camp-n-rides" are usually more small bike oriented but there's almost always a big bike contingent. Plus Saturday night at Pachaug we're sure to have a big campfire and room to spare for anyone interested in camping for the night but then wants to head up to the Cidah Run ride Sunday morning. Pachaug is about an hour ride south of the proposed Cidah Run starting points and we'll have campsites at Pachaug from Friday night onward. A few extra bikes/tents this time of year isn't a big deal. The proposed cider run to Clydes Cider mill in Mystic CT on Friday is a nice ride to a great cider press too, the oldest steam powered cider press in the US in fact.. Plus their hard cider, at 14% alcohol and sold by the gallon or half-gallon, will kick your dick in the dirt..

I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here by cross promoting.....

Is this ride V-Strom 1000 with TCK-80's friendly? Sounds like it is.

I am also planning to be at the Pachaug camp-n-ride that weekend but it doesn't sound difficult to do both events.

There's pretty decent dual sport routes from Pachaug to Pulaski
Me & Mrs. Trip will be at the Camp & Ride also.

Sounds like fun, I've got a pair of TKC80s to be installed on my spare wheels tomorrow... If work cooperates, I hope to be there.
