I found a way home. Actually, it was pretty simple for me. Hwy. 40 to Hwy. 9 to I-70. I-70 was not that bad at all going into Golden. It was cold and rainy at times, but otherwise a really nice road run up to I-70. You should have seen some of the looks I got on 70 as I passed, for instance a Porsche Cayenne, doing 85 on a fully loaded dirt bike. Some said there would be "hours" of delays on 70, but there was only about 10 minutes of delay around Idaho Falls. I was loaded on the trailer by 11:30, and I was home before midnight.

Same here. I really appreciate you guys carrying me through . . . and picking up my bike when I couldn't anymore. I learned soooo much along the way. And, yes, the torque wrench will not make the next trip. You will be shocked the next time you see me at how light I can pack. Ribs are starting to feel better as well. Haven't yet showed the wife that picture.

The KTM factory tech guy said that the US version goes into production in November and in the dealers showrooms in December.

Any of you guys still around Steamboat? I am here for the rest of the week with my 990 and would love to ride some more dirt. Any locals interested? Thanks. SuchesRider

Great pic of the town at night from the mountain/gondola, spencergt66. The view was breathtaking. Keep the pics coming as I did not take many. SuchesRider

Brents347 broke his arm before the rally. He had it cast to fit his handlebars so that he could ride a portion of the TAT as well as the COBDR to the rally. I rode portions of the COBDR with him. Cool guy. Here he is on Corkscrew Pass before the rally:

Hey look, it's me! And the cast matches the shirt really well!

Riding the trail with the cast really wasn't so bad. Just got some sores inside the cast at my thumb. My leg gave me a little more trouble, but not too much. That was really cool to get the plaque and helmet from KTM. The only down side was they wouldn't let me test ride any bikes. Something about liability, blah, blah, blah.

I had a great ride on Friday with the Kurt Casselli group until I lost my wallet and cell phone. Riding with guys like Powercell, Chico Ryan, Grinderman, Mike (Mike, what's your username?) was a good time. It was supposed to be a trail ride, but it didn't take long for the wick to get lit. Then it was game on! I HAMMERED through the rock section, and thought for sure I had destroyed a wheel, but no flat spots at all!

Spencer, great pic from the gondola!

Orangcicle, it was great to hang out with you and ride the COBDR. I had a great time. When they release next years info, we'll have to decide where we're gonna meet up.

I want to see a pic of someone IN the section 5 water crossing! I keep hearing of all the guys who crossed it, but I haven't SEEN it yet!

Grinderman, Chico Ryan and I Iron butted our way home on Sunday. I did 920 miles in 14 1/2 hours and Dave and Ryan still had 100 miles or so to go!

Great ride. Great weekend. Great event. Now to sort through the pictures...
