VIN Number Location

Other than the sticker on the steering head, is there a VIN number stamped on the frame or elsewhere on the bike? The DMV is giving me a lot of s$@t! Thanks guys.

I could be wrong BUT I thought I saw the VIN somewhere near the oil pan. It's too cold out right now to check.

The engine SN is on the RH lower engine block just behind the header pipe. It's a completely different number and not the VIN if that's what you were thinking of.

The SN was such a PIA to find when I brought the bike in to the CA DMV to register, plus it was covered in dust/filth from 4 years and made nearly inaccessible from the bash plate and crash bars.

I wish I saw this before today. Took the bike to register at a CA DMV, had to take the bash plate out to get a good view of the engine number. Too much dirt and grime in there to get a decent view of the number. Lucky I had a toolkit on me, but it was interesting for the rest of the crowd to watch
