Also wondering if anyone is having trouble getting the unregistered vehicle permit. The local RTA want the Dealer to sign saying it is suitable for safe use but the Dealer wont sign saying I have to take it off somewhere and get a Pink Slip. I bought it 4 months ago brand new from this Dealer.

Thanks,

Hey Ian,

I have run 14 - 50 gearing on my Berg 570 last few years and found it fine. Maybe 48 on the rear for your 350 might just give it the extra legs for fence-lines.

They organizers say it's tighter this year but cars still have to get around on it so I'd imagine it would be 2nd and 3rd gear.

Hope this helps.

See you there.

Cheers Ben.

Thanks Ben

Have just realised I have a 14 on the front. I thought it was a 13. I will look at getting a 48. This will be 4 less than it has now.

As I work on this bike I look across at my 690 which has a steering dampner and plenty of legs and sometimes wonder why I am doing this on the 350.

Because you should never race anything you're not prepared to crawl away from as it explodes into a cartwheeling ball of flames, with a big grin still on your face.

i ride 14/50in the watagans, it works vey well in the tight stuff, but i mean enduro tight. ;)

i can do about 80 comfortably, then it starts to rev a bit more.

Problem is you can't go bigger in the front.

Who did I miss?
Im bike 69

Bike is all together and as ready as its going to be. Just got to finish sorting all the small spare parts out, and to wash the complete spare bike that im bringing (easier to bring full bike than to strip it and pack it in the car).
Wouldnt mind getting some more bike fitness into me, so might have to go do some midweek motorcross practice nights.
Cheers
Ethan

I'm heading out to watch the whole weekend and brush up on my photography skills.

Can't wait to see some epic machines and riders putting on a show

Excellent. I have two guys who want to come along but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up on my Pat Malone in the mighty iload. Once I've put my entry in (last official day tomorrow) I'll put the word out. They don't call me Neily no mates for nothing

Nice preparation ! Mine is working on the 450 non stop and demoing my house.

The bikes almost done. Sorted my electrics and got the ico happening, this has got to be the fastest I've thrown a "race bike" together ever. I think if I ride it tomorrow it will be around the block if I'm lucky.

Seems to be a few of us from the Sydney area and riding up in the wetagains. We should all get together after the condo and do a few road book or enduro type rides.
I get up to the watagans when I can. Also recently rode from zig zag to capertee, that was a good ride through the bush, bit of everything.

Neil.

The entry list is starting to look a little healthier. I was a little concerned when they said the race wasn't on over the extra long weekend at Easter. I have to take at least 2 days off work to come down for the weekend and I imagine most traveling more than a few hours are in the same boat. So it's good to see there's about 60 starters so far. Oh and I'm #947 H1 for the Advrider list. My bikes gone back out to the shop in Charleville, so I wont even see it again until I roll into Condo. Don't matter, just get on and ride!!!!

Got my entry in, spoke to the organisers so should be ok.
I've asked for #34, couldn't see it taken yet but I'm thinking someone famous has it ? Anyway, got the bike together at the 11th hour and took it for a spin around the block. Saw oil coming from behind the sprocket so pulled it apart and it turned out to be nothing so whacked it back together and went out again. Feels good on the flat plenty to do still but it looks like this at the moment.

Should be fun !
