I am super keen to do this one! I was hoping to do it this year, but too many things got in the way.

Yeah mate, on the WRR. I am far from a good rider. I don't mind coming dead last, as long as I finish.

I'm keen to have a crack next year, I'm slowly getting the bike all ready but I've come to a slight stand still in regards to what else I need todo to the bike. I've got my map reader and ico's all mounted, big tank is on suspension all redone to suit, what else do I really need, like do I have to put indicators on and rear running light?? Can I get away with running my comp 4/ ac10 tyre combo or better off getting a set of desert tyres??
Thanks Ethan

Riding my KTM 450. It's proven reliable so far. Plus I'm taking Spac as pay back for all the events I help him with

I go pretty slow and I'm a crap rider so probably not the best one to be giving tyre advice but I'll have a crack anyway.
Track consists of just about every terrain you can think of with a few extra rocks thrown in for good measure and apparently if it rains the mud becomes quite uh fun. There aren't to many sections that you'll need to run at speed for very long so I think just your favourite enduro tyre will do. I can't remember what tyres (maybe scorpions) I ran but they where a hard compound tyre and I ran ultra heavy duty tubes with decent pressure in them to avoid flats. One set easily lasted me the entire event but I did see a few smoked rears from holding it flat on the transport sections (i mention no names G.T) See you there |

Tyres, I ran Bridgestone ED12 this year on the rear and 403 front, I changed the rear after day 1 as ED12 will crack knobs aftera bit of high speed hard pack. Year before I ran a Dunlop 606 rear with 403 front, hardly wore after two days. The 403 front from this year did the 750 then Yellow Mountain & aclub enduro @ Condobolin over similar terrain, still like new.

I ran an AC10 on the front of the SE 950 no probs in 2009. I wouldn't bother with a desert on the rear of a 450. AC10 would be fine.
