Website has been updated;

http://www.condo750.com.au/

Looks like the course will be a little tighter;

Quote:
We have made the course tighter to slow the competitors down and to make it more of a skilled driving / riding event rather than the most horse power wins.
Perfect for a big fat adventure bike then?

Guess I'll see you all there then.

It's not like I can run Malles Moto in the Safari if I don't get some training rides under my belt...

2013 Condo 750

]Just a reminder, the entries for the 2013 Condo 750 open this Friday, 1st Feb.

The Supp Regs may be found here http://www.condo750.com.au/

I, unfortunately will not be competing this year.

I had my arm twisted by Geoff Smith, and have agreed to be the Clerk of Course, for the Autos.

Better start getting those bikes (or quads, UTV side by sides or 4WD's) together.

Be there for the best event of the year

This year year should be one of the best courses ever.

I'm not going to make it again this year.
No time no money.

But it would be good to get this thread going and hopefully entice a few more advriders to enter.

Great event for most skill levels even if your not interested in racing.

Howdi Joe,
Shame you won't be attending this year mate. You will be missed.

As for getting some chit chat going I'd agree. The Condo 750 was adopted by ADV (aus forum) some years ago.

SO to get some chat started or moving, who is going to give it a shot this year?

We should get a list started of inmates having a crack at the event, or any one going just to check out the event.

It's terrible when things get to that stage tREV... it's that bad you have to hold your own breath...? try cutting down on red meat or spicy dishes mate...

Good luck at Condo... avoid those dodgy rissoles at the takeaway.

And that reminds me of something that springs to mind everytime I watch a movie where two people switch bodies...

You know how your own farts smell quite pleasnt, and it is quite tolerable when you're droping some Suzuki like mater down the bog, but other people's farts and backdoor bricks are quite rancid.

Would it stink them out when they go to the shitter like when you were a kid and you went a little to soon after your old man had been, or would it be fine because they mixed the ingredence?

Someone should look into it...

You'd have made the perfect candidate for "dunny truck duty" back in the day on the old original safari's tREV... just the right humour and temprement for the job!

Look after Sylvia if you catch up with him down there... have a ball! We will be running the Spring Thaw rally here in swednavia at exactly the same time as condo is running... so we'll have a celebratory beer in spirt!

Bloody things got wheels all over it - what is it, some sort of unstable tumbling device?

I'm planning on being there.
I got a 350F which I think should do fine. Ive spoken to one of the organizers and he said it will be tighter this year and not so fast, he recons if the bike can do 120 it should be fine. I'll change the gearing a bit to make sure the bike does not rev its head off. ;)

He also mentioned the longest stage is somehting like 150k and there is a fule drop. So I'm thinking of not investing in a Safari tank & use the standard tank instead. I normally can easily get 120k out of it & have some left so I recon I should be ok particularly if I use a bigger countershaft sprocket and / or a fewer tetth in the back. No sure yet, I'd maybe go with the second option to also effectively lengthen the wheelbase.

I'm also trying to get my roadbook & IMO sorted.

The only issue I have is I'm not sure my wife will be happy to play support crew.
Ok I KNOW she won't be happy. Any chance we can organize an ADV support model?
