Dual Sport guide in Western NC?

Heading up to Western NC for a weekend dualsport ride. Any guides in the Caruso area? My brother and I are mostly green and are looking for fun but not hardcore off road stuff. We are riding 250CC bikes. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I used to live there and had every 1:24k USGS topo map from Hwy 18 going west, plus some (yeah, a bunch).

Get the Nantahala and/or Pisgah NFS maps from a ranger station. They are good maps, and you'll be good to go.

Great area to ride.

WNC Rides

Stop by the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground and ask for Phillip. Phillip Johnson & his wife own/run the place. They can provide you with a list of roads to ride.

If you are in Crusco then you on one of them--276 between Waynesville and Brevard. It has new pavement. Make a loop by adding in US 64 S and then 215. You'll cross the Blue Ridge Parkway and that is a premier road in itself.

Have a safe trip.

We are staying there! I spoke with him yesterday and he said he can get me to some good dirt trails. I rode 276 over the summer and couldn't agree more, great road! They were actually paving it while we were up there.

Thanks for the advice.
