Saddle bags with no rack on f800?

Looking at some Ortieb saddle bags, ultimately for my wifes super sherpa but for now as extra storage on a road trip. I dont have racks on the bike so wondering if anyone has comments on how these or similar soft saddle bags fare without a rack

I would suggest taking a look at the Giant Loop products too.

Hey haileypooch,

Giant Loop's Siskiyous are rack-less (and everything else in the line too) but I haven't tried them on a Super Sherpa.

Here's roughly what it looks like (this is the prototype) but the production one is available now and looks even better.

Let me know if you have any q's on them.

I have used Ortliebs in the past and they worked OK on another bike. They certainly weren't as stable and I don't think they'd like the tapered sloping sides of the F8? You'll also need a heat shield for the exhaust which GL offers as well (the Siskiyous come with two).
