Balkans 2014

Suggestions sought for some must ride roads and must see places for my tour this summer (road criteria: good surface, twisties, quick, Balkans only)

Current route is shown, in the following order: Koper/Knin/Sinj/Dubrovnik/Kotor Bay/Dubrovnik (including Peljesac)/Mostar/Jajce/Plitvice/Karlovac/Dolomites

Cheers
Steve

just to add to the post from Kalv

you could go into Slovenia via the predil pass and then ride south down the soca valley, if you can try to avoid the Croatian coast road at peak time it can get rammed with caravans, campervans and coaches, if you have time vist Sarajevo, in Montenegro the tara canyon and bridge is great, some good roads in the mountains around Zabljak,

You might want to look at the RR of Alpineguerilla when he was doing the Balkan area.

he makes nice vids and his posts are fun to read...

I was on an organized tour of the Balkans in 2012 and Rozle Verhovc (now of Clutch Moto Tours) had very good local knowledge of routes in the area. His company offers self-guided tours...maybe he could put some routes together for you.
