4 day murray river ride n.s.w. Vic. Australia

4 DAY MURRAY RIVER RIDE N.S.W. VIC. AUSTRALIA

i havent done a ride of more than a couple of days for a few months,

but this one made up for it in a big way, hope you enjoy

i went from sydney to cooma then albury back to cooma then home to sydney

day 1. first stop bald hill just south of sydney






next kiama, an hour south some nice boats here






some nice pelicans too






i turned onto the nowra/ braidwood rd and had a good run till this

appeared , a bus load of policemen were having a small problem

with a stuck bus but a mighty toyota landcruiser snatched them out






next stop nerriga pub, i had a small brown sandwich here for lunch







i am now south of braidwood heading to cooma






still heading south, near numerella









the countegany turnoff, i'll try this road some other time






from here it was a short ride to cooma where i stayed the night,

The roads, scenery and weather are all looking good there, Matt. Great ride. I'll keep an eye out for the rest.

so far so good

next morning i got onto dry plains road south of cooma and headed

south west for a while






















i spotted this house 4 sale, has great views

















i have now turned onto the snowy mts. highway

heading for kiandra






a few pics of kiandra courthouse, it was

also a police lockup and hotel at times

snow skiing was started here in the 1860,s

i'm back again

i turned off the smh and got onto elliott way

i took a little side track to wallaces creek lookout















talbingo resevoir next











i then got onto tooma road and stopped at the

southern cloud memorial . in 1932 ? 6 people were killed

here in australia's first major air crash












a couple of harleys pull up.

its a good day for a ride





next pic shows the whole aim of the story

heading west from tintaldra











back soon, i've got to keep the boss happy

further west






jingellic hotel , anice spot by the river










across the river to walwa, need some petrol

meet up with 3 guys going to a guzzi rally

had a chat with the local cop too









back over the river to nsw and west again to the wymah ferry














the river has now flowed into the upper reaches

of hume weir near the town of albury














no major dramas so far


thats the 2nd lampf ive had in 7 months



now crossing hume weir on the wymah ferry

this is really small 2 cars or about 10 bikes max

i stayed the night in albury, day 3 coming up


across the bridge into victoria again






heading east on the southern side of the river






















back in walwa need more petrol

i met those 2 harley riders again

















heading east to the snowy mts


tntaldra next stop





i am close to corryong now and heading for khancoban

a few more bikes there











these guys were going to the bmw k2 rally at geehi

i'll drop in and see whats going on










from here i went to cooma and stopped the night

next morning i met 2 tasmanian couples heading

for byron bay they were on a multi strada and a

guzzi stelvio ntx i guided then as far as nowra










this was a great ride - good weather, terrific roads





and best of all i met a lot of really friendly motorcycle riders
