I think the drop in attendance was a good thing.................but there was still to many people there

And as I've said before, the riding isn't epic, but IMHO it ain't to bad.

No gravel pits!,,shade would be nice,, but grass for tent pitching is a must.

showers,,a plus!
beer available within 10 miles or so,
what do we need?
Marsters Springs out of Paisley is not big enuff, Page springs out of Frenchglen is big enuff if we took the whole park, but no showers.
Topsy Grade to the south, has great riding, but limited camping, no showers.
Somebody knows somebody with enuff room, and a creek we can pee in,,spout off!
Ideas?!!!!!

What Peterman is talking about is "Hubert K. McBee Park". It is just down stream from Alsea Falls. It is privately owned by the Hull Oaks Lumber Company of Dawson, Oregon. Yes it is big enough, yes it is rentable, yes there is a lot of riding in that area but they wiped out all of the single track that we used to have there. Flat mtn is close by which is a huge private single track area owned by Starker Forestry. They have a permit entry system and are very restrictive ( sweet trails though). McBee is a great place to camp and we have staged many Moto Campouts there back in the 70's and 80's. And before you get any ideas...No I don't have the time to pull this together myself.

A friend hosts the Eagle riders camp-out here, I stopped by. Very cool spot, awesome views and great stone fire pits and this little cabin / shelter.

No showers, no electricity for your sleeping machines.

But it is too close!

I attended a company picnic and campout there, nice enuff place.
There are giant water striders in the creek there that only come out at nite!

We did a Bohemia company party/picanic at that place back in the early 90s...it was a long ways away but it seems like it was a good party. I don't think anybody camped...we just had deisgnated drivers to get us home I suppose
