[High Desert Rider]

No action shots, but:





the first "dirt bike" I ever rode. I titled the picture '71 Suzuki, but I really have no idea what the bike is. we pieced it together from 5-6 decrepit old Suzukis behind an ex-girlfriends fathers shed. We had decided that we thought it was a '71 T/S 185, but i have no idea how we came to that conclusion. I believe we robbed the rear wheel and carburetor off a slightly newer (early eighties?) RM250.

Not certain of the year... Hodaka 125 Combat Wombat...





Pic from 1974, Hodaka 125 (very modified for trials) you can see it worked well this day... Still have the "Hottie"





Hodaka 250ED Thunderdog... One of the first in the US...

I am in the process of restoring a 1980 Suzuki PE400, and looking to get the motor/transmission/clutch completely rebuilt.

Can anyone recommend a builder in the NJ or NY area?

Yep... looks so. The picture is signed "CZ", and I know, that he was riding CZ. But Husquarna... in USSR... sounds almost unreal! Like KTM))) Only a few riders had access to the bikes like KTM in Soviet Union.
Thanks for correcting my mistake.

My grandfather had CZ, Jawa and Ural. Maybe, it's the bike owned by local motocross club.
