Welcome to Brooklyn. I've seen too many guys leaving these bikes out in BK. I wish you luck finding it but the odds are against you.

Terribly sorry that your BEAUTIFUL SMR got jacked. I assume it was on the street and not in some kind of garage. Lemme ask, was it chained or anything or locked or anything? I'm in Manhattan but spend a lot of time anywhere between the Bedford & Jefferson stop on the L and my head usually snaps around whenever I hear a moto pass by. I'll keep an eye out, for sure.

J.

I don't know how you can even think about keeping a bike on the street? I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Unforunately the bike is in a shipping container headed to Brazil right now!

Sorry for your loss!

Not that I condone this type of behavior but maybe ... huum.. just maybe that was the intention. Everyone hates having a bike stolen.... Especially Fully Insured ones sitting on a street in Brooklyn All Nite.

Just sayin.my wife's from Sheapshead Bay (Brooklyn) and I know none of her family members would even consider such a thing. lmfao

I'm sorry for your loss! I just bought a used 950 SMR, and it's the first bike I've owned which I really do fear for theft.

I just changed my policy to reduce my Comprehensive deductible from $1k to $100 based on this story. Fucking thieves!

Is it illegal to leave your bike out in the open like this while sitting in a vantage point with a sniper rifle...then picking these guys off as they roll the bike away?

Do you have more of the video? I'd like to see how quickly they guys make the bike disappear after they walk up to it. What was their technique? Hotwire it and ride it? Seems like one of the guys had a helmet in his hand. Did they cut the chain or cut the sign down?

Curious about all this so I and others can prevent future thefts.

I didn't notice the police cruiser... It might be worth tracking down the cop, and checking to see if he had a camera in the car.. Ya never know.
