Feeler Airhead 70-95 frame brace group buy

Hi Guys! Just got a set of frame brace made for my 86 R80 naked and it fits like a glove. Check out the pictures!!







Bar on bike is not tighten just put on for pictures.

No need to weld! It comes with S/S Screws & Nuts.

Checking here to see if anybody is down for a group buy

could come either raw or painted gloss black.

I am more intersted in coming up with something to brace the frame from the starter mount to the back of the frame's back bone. IMO, that's where they need it most!

No offense but aren't those pretty much useless on a mono frame?

And call my design/build side suspicious but unless they're welded on - there's got to be micro movements of the frame within the clasp, even if you can't see it.

Seriously, if I'm wrong - I'm all ears.

+1, In addition to this, the braces should connect "corners" of the structure between the swingarm pivot and the head tube to be effective. Placed where they are, they will not bring anything in stiffness.

Myself, I don;t see any need for this sort of bracing on a stock bike on the street. If you are going racing, then yeah, some cross bracing of some sort and some gusseting.

But where this brace it put, there does not appear to be much it can really accomplish.

It's like any box in engineering - you can put 3 cross horizontal braces on a square frame, but none will do anything without a corner brace, or the brace itself being put horizontal into each corner. It's pretty easy to test with a model, be it wood or metal.

I thought the whole point of those braces were (when done corner to corner) were to ease the old "rubber cow" effect from having the shocks attached to the sub frame on the older airhead frames. Since this is a Mono, the shock is attached to the main frame, and the tail (sub frame) doesn't do any flexing beyond the weight of the rider putting his weight on and off the bike.

I am not a fan of those braces but we do differ on the need to brace our frames. Race bike? A braced frame makes going straight down the hiway at just about any speed a lot better. If you don't notice how much better just about any new street bike goes straight down the hiway than our boxers (excepting Truimph twins and a few others) for their stiffer chassis', you will more than likely not benefit from a stiffened frame.

Motoren Israel make a bolt on

It looks like it requires mods to the gearbox to make it fit.
Don't know how its going to affect airfilter serviceability.

Starter motor mounts would be another good option.
Narrower base on the triagle may make it less effective.

Let us know if you come up with an alternate product.

They don't fit that well. Serviceability of the airfilter is terrible.

I concur, the geometry is just wrong. Triangulate is the only way to firm up the load distribution. And I wouldn't think of trying to clamp on a brace with anything less than harded bolts and brackets. SS is just not to be trusted in high stress applications like this.

I think I just saw those on eBay for $50. Wizbang price, Wizbang design.

I have seen two different setups for sale if I remember right. I wasn't impressed or I would already have one on my bike!

Hi all!
The reason i got this bar is more for look at first and no welding.
Then i took it for a long ride to the Hampton on the southern state. The bar does make a different, but not much.
I'm sure if you track or off-road your bike you probably notice it more than just going thru a long bend..
I do feel a little more torque.. Can it be the pipes, battery & collector removal or the braces?..
But as for look, I say it makes my bike look bad a$$!..
